Josh began his paddling career as a Santa Cruz Junior Lifeguard. He started competing at the regional level in team and distance paddling in the early 90’s and has remained a competitive force to be reckoned with. Josh grew into a well rounded water athlete adding surfing, diving, and fishing to his repertoire while continuing to paddle and share his love of the ocean with others. As a founding member of the Ghostryders Watermens Club, Josh has helped bring legendary events to Northern California such as the Davenport Downwinder, the West Cliff Challenge, and the 24-Hour Paddle Fundraiser. Josh is a proud husband and father of 3 (look out for Kyle, Lily and Summer, strong paddlers in their own right) and recently competed in his 2nd Molokai2Oahu and finished 2nd in his age group along with teammate Josh Ryan. Josh is also the owner of TRADE Paddleboards.
